When The God Who Neither Sleeps Nor Slumbers Awakens

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has

righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14

Greetings to the serendipitous reader and the righteous heavenly host.  Once again I find myself posting another article which I do not know if I will allow it to remain.  2020 thus far has certainly been eye opening for the masses particularly politically. Where they were once 20/40 or worse, some have been given correctional lenses restoring them to 20/20 vision. There have been a number of events in this year 2020 which begs some commentary upon and to which I am obliged to do said commentary.  Anyone who is alive today upon the earth has been a witness to two major events which have greatly affected the lives of many people across the globe.  It would seem that my last article collided with the agenda of certain actors in the human world causing aspects of it to manifest in a strange way.  I daresay, that article caused a great deal of agitation in the kingdom of darkness spiritually which caused a knee-jerk reaction naturally in the kingdom of men, most notably that of the Gentiles.

What two events do I speak of? That of the Corona virus otherwise known as Covid-19 and the George Floyd event.   Interestingly, the Covid-19 event was preceded by the death of a famous basketball player Kobe Bryant and eight other people including one of his daughters in a helicopter crash.  Shortly, after that we saw the world do something it had never done before and that was shut down it’s economy over what would appear to be a super flu virus originating out of Wuhan, China.  The U.S. lead the way in essentially destroying the lives economically of many people over what is termed a pandemic.

Such a move would have been unheard of even just five years ago, but with this virus it became somewhat of an idol, something to be feared and held in high regard.  We were and are regaled with numbers daily of it’s cases not necessarily deaths because a great many people do recover from it and everyone now walks around looking like masked ninjas from the movie Mortal Combat. We also, have to stay 6 feet apart from people and not gather in huge numbers or at least we are advised, and for some mandated, depending upon the state of your residence.

A great many people are truly bewildered as to how this particular flu has pushed every other ailment to the side in terms of importance.  I for one don’t believe in coincidences and I am not particularly bewildered by it’s exaltation at least not from a spiritual standpoint.  I should mention that it wasn’t long before Black Americans, as we tend to do, became the focal point of Corona virus cases and deaths due to some of our co-morbidities.  Apparently, this Covid-19 is so resilient it is immune to weather changes unlike the other flu’s and pops back up despite masks and lock downs whenever it feels like it.  It makes me wonder whether there is something supernatural about it.  To my mind it comes from a dark place.

The second event which captivated the world’s attention was the death of George Floyd a Black man at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis, all in the midst of covid.  This event saw the rise of Black Lives Matter protest and later rioting across the country in various places.  Businesses were destroyed and a group know as Antifa which consist of mostly White anarchist type joined or started the mayhem.  All through the summer, cities on the west coast east coast and wherever the death of a Black man occurred no matter the circumstance or before an investigation can be done, businesses that have nothing to do with what occurred needed to be looted and destroyed.  I wrote an article pertaining to Black Lives Matter a few years ago and essentially I maintained that the statement was too broad for what it is intended as clearly Black lives do not matter in a variety of circumstances.

If you are going to make that statement it should pertain to Black lives from the womb to the tomb and not just when a Black person is killed by the police no matter the situation which gave rise to the death.  Interestingly enough George Floyd in his own life it is said committed criminal acts against a Black woman and was allegedly thought to be engaged in criminality when he was arrested by the police.  It turns out the organization Black Lives Matter, the recipient of millions of dollars is not even for Black families in the traditional sense and may be even Marxist in its philosophy.  The whole debacle from what I can tell ended up being about politics, namely the support of the Democratic party.

I am not sure why it is Black people are regarded so highly in their politics.  We are not a large part of the population, but for whatever reason, they roll our corpse out on a gurney every election year and feed off of us like political vampires.  Our blood must be quite tasty to someone out there.  Well, anyway the other idol that has been exalted alongside covid now is Black men and their death at the hands of police whether he is engaged in the act of criminality or not.  The trigger word is Black men and police and certain people go nuts like someone out of zombie movies and begin destroying property and people’s lives.

The Purposes and Objectives of God Are Never Achieved Via Demonic Means

There has never been a time whenever an objective needed to achieved regarding Israel, that God would use the worshippers of Baal, Ashtoreth, Dagon, the sorcerers of Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, Rome et al to achieve those objectives.  From Joseph to Moses to David to Daniel to Elijah to Yeshua etc, God always uses his people whom he called to achieve his purpose in the creation and kingdom of men.  What fellowship/accord has Christ with Belial? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? 2Corinthians 6: 15,16. What fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness and what communion has light with darkness (vs.14).  We can witness that God does not abide the presence of idols when the Philistines captured the ark of God after defeating Israel in a battle. I Samuel chapters 5 and 6 record the Philistines adventure with the ark.

To summarize, the Philistines put the ark of God in the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon. When the people of Ashdod arose the next morning there was Dagon fallen on its face before the ark of the Lord.  They put Dagon back in it’s place and the next morning, there was Dagon again fallen before the ark with its head and palms of its hand broken off on the threshold.  What followed  were a series of plagues wherever the ark was so that the Philistines were compelled to get rid of it with gold items symbolizing the tumors which hit their bodies and rats which ravaged their fields.

This story clearly demonstrates that there was no fellowship with God and the idol of Dagon and no fellowship of righteousness with lawlessness.  The spirit that was unleashed with the George Floyd sacrifice like death was one of lawlessness.  It is one of chaos and destruction and one in which the Most High does not fellowship.  And if He does not fellowship with it, then like Dagon it must fall before his presence.  The spirit of God stands in contrast to lawlessness.  Where there are those who promote a spirit of chaos, His spirit is one of order.  Where there are spirits of destruction, His is one of building up.  Where there are spirits of confusion, His is one of clarity and a sound mind and where there are spirits of hate, His is one of love.  Where there is the spirit of fear, His is the spirit of power.  All of the wrong spirits in 2020 have been unleashed.  But let the Spirit of the Lord God on High prevail.

When God who neither sleeps nor slumber awakens

Whenever God is about achieving his purpose at certain moment in time, his enemies stand opposed to him.  I will use the story of Balaam in Numbers 22 to illustrate this point.  Israel is on course to occupy the land of Canaan.  They had defeated the Amorites and are now camped in the plains of Moab.  When Balak who is aware of what happened to the Amorites gets wind of it, he summons Balaam the son of Beor who is obviously a diviner/sorcerer of some sort to curse Israel.  When Balaam arose to meet with the princes of Moab on his donkey verse 22 states, “ Then God’s anger was aroused because he went and the Angel of the Lord took his stand in the way as an adversary against him. And he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him.” “Now the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand and the donkey turned aside out of the way and went into the field….” ( vs. 23).  To summarize the rest of the story, Balaam tried three times to get his donkey going the way he wanted him to and each time the Angel of the Lord stood in the way.

Only when on the third time when Balaam’s eyes were opened did he understand the actions of the donkey who literally kept him from being killed.  I’m sure that donkey had some choice words for him that didn’t make it into the text.  Balaam now knew who was opposing him and had no choice no matter how Balak implored him otherwise, but to bless Israel and all before the high places of Baal.  So we see that just as with Dagon, the demons that occupied the high places of Baal had to take a seat when the Angel of The Lord awakened to someone standing in opposition to his agenda.  It must be assumed that the Angel of the Lord is top brass because no principalities or powers other angels were anywhere to be seen.

Today we are at that certain moment in time again where God is about achieving his purpose.  His enemies have their own agenda.  They serve their own gods, but certainly as in times past he awakens and will stand in the way as an adversary with sword drawn against his opposition. In retrospect considering my last article, who I really need are some apostle Pauls, Johns and Peter.

To conclude, It is my sincere hope that people are safe from violence and covid.  To all who have perished I offer my prayers and condolences for their families and friends.

To God always

the Glory
